Plank

The idea for Plank was to make a piece of furniture by using a single plate of aluminum and a piece of wood.

By cutting out a piece of the aluminum plate for the wooden seating, bending the plate and slide in the wooden plank, a chair was created. As it turned out to be too  heavy and expensive, more of the aluminum plate was cut out below the seating. Some welding is needed for a foot support on the stool and a separate strip is welded beneath the seat for structural support and secure seat attachment.

The aluminum is powder coated.
